FROM THE PRESIDENT

Fellow Members:

On a bright and early Saturday morning, your Advertising Federation of El Paso board of directors convened to prepare the next twelve months’ worth of Ad Fed programs, events and activities. I am both proud and thrilled to announce we have an awesome year scheduled for you, our membership.

We will begin the year with the traditional Fall TV Preview before progressing to our annual Media Auction, Ad Fed’s premier benefit event of the year. We are truly excited about the ideas we discussed for this year’s ADDY Awards celebration, which will follow the fundraiser, and can’t wait to unveil what’s in store for you!

Monthly luncheon programs have been scheduled throughout the year and consist of new, innovative topics we are positive everyone will enjoy. Events such as the annual Silver Medal Award, student conference and Bowl-A-Rama-Thon-Palooza will definitely make a return. Additionally, we have a couple of new activities lined up and hope they, too, will be popular enough to demand a comeback in the future.

We know it’s hard enough to keep on top of the day’s duties and activities so remembering what’s going on for the rest of the year is nearly impossible! That’s why we’re arranging to have a continuously updated calendar sent out once a quarter so members can keep track of upcoming Ad Fed activities.

Of course, all our efforts mean nothing unless fellow members take part in what the board works so diligently to put together. The return on investment from our labors is only a success when participation by our members meets or surpasses our goals.

As president for the 2010-2011 Ad Fed term, I will strive to make these objectives a reality and guarantee the year is a successful one for the organization. Ad Fed has a long history of noteworthy past presidents and board members and we will do our best to uphold this quality of leadership to which El Paso’s Ad Fed community has become accustom.
